Relish opened in June 2015 and is currently located in Lindenhurst, Illinois. Relish is run by it’s owner Derrick Baker, an artist from the Chicagoland area. Going to school in Chicago, Derrick fell in love with the art and architecture that he would walk by and see everyday. He realized there wasn’t any good graphic shirts showcasing these things in a style he or any like minded person would feel a sense of pride to wear while also being stylish. Realizing there was a gap in the marketplace Derrick created Relish Brand, a streetwear brand that is real Chicago Style. You can check out this brand here: www.relishbrand.com. The designs are inspired by the art, architecture, music and sports from Chicago. With design attitudes being influenced by Hip-Hop, skate culture, streetwear, art history, and the creative streets of Chicago.
Derrick worked as the production art manager at a promotional products company where he gained the knowledge of screen printing and sharpened his chops in graphic design. Through freelance designing, he gained a handful of clients that were interested enough in his art that he felt confident to invest in his own screen printing equipment. Relish has accumulated several loyal clients through word of mouth that they have now hired printers to keep up with the volume.
The focus at Relish is customer service and quality! We often print overnight and drive orders to our customers just to meet deadlines and show our loyalty to them. We stop at nothing to make our clients happy.
